New Mexico Update

Okay, I am trying to get up to date and hopefully you'll be able to follow this.  After reaching the midpoint of Rt 66 we continued to roll on into New Mexico.

Visiting an area of Albuquerque (ABQ) called Old Town was the highlight of our first day in town:

We hooked up with my college classmate, Don and his wife Kristie.  They live SE of Albuquerque and opened their home to us.  Their warm hospitality was great.  We had dinner together in a local pub called the Ponderosa.  I took this picture outside the pub:

The next morning Kristie made breakfast - outstanding!  She put her own twist on eggs benedict and they were great!

Kristie raises Angora rabbits.  They also have two dogs and a cat who kept us company.  I was able to get a shot of Don and Kristie with his '62 pick-up.  Don has owned and driven this truck since 1968!
